yes ???
in the browse window, details view, can you click the name column? that will sort alphabetically
what is browse window ?
when you click Browse
there is no details - tab
verbose is
do you know Linux Mint Cinnamon ? sure i need to write it on the help need
you may also open a regular file manager, put details view on, click name column to sort alphabetically, then drag into grsync source field
that sounds unbelievable
it is amazing if it really works
but why needed to drag something ?
so it fills in the field
idk the grsync browse window too well. i would have thought it has details view when choosing stuff
so you are just giving your imagination things ?
check it
then just click "open" in first field
that will mean same thing as "browse"
in the resulting pop-up, which is a file-picker window, sort by name or type or date
how does it make copy order 0 to Z ?
there is not such thing
yes there is.
and then ?
btw, what is that file maneger named ?
i have NEMO
in mint cinnamon default
it's not the file manager. It's the file-picker that is part of my system. It appears to be a gnome picker
then you click a folder you want to rsync to another place
i dont have that gnome picker in my Linux Mint Cinnamon
i am using GRsync btw
what is gnome picker ?
it's the file picker. this shows up whenever you click either: open, save as, from an application
in this case, it is what appears when clicking "open" from grsync
well, i dont have it in my system
show what u get when u click 'open'
ok it works the same way. let's say in above example, you had many folders, all different names. you would click 'type' and/or 'name' column to sort alphabetically. then choose from that which you want to backup
first field, is the source: what you choose to back up
the second field, you choose as destination. as in, WHERE you want the backup (rsync copy) to end up
are you real sure ?
i just think you making me look stupid here ?
is this the level of competence here ?
blind nerd advicing another ?

did even look you the picture ?
look at my pic, and the red underlines I showed
oh, man the underlines !!!!
yes, u rightclicked the columns.
what are u asking?
okay now buddy
asking me is: how to order in ALPHABETIC order files to copy in GRSYNC - PROGRAM ?
click open, find your directory next
can only choose folders
see here. files are greyed out.
your files is not my concern buddy
well it's an example
put the files you want into a folder, even a temporary one. the ones you want. then choose that folder in the first field in grysnc
show an example
what mean by example ?
cuz u can change the sorting order like I said. clicking the name or type column
your pic above has no files, just one folder
well, it does not work like you inform
yes, and it is all it have to be
because i am to copy that folder
open nemo, put details view, click NAME
