#How to enable full disk encryption on Linux Mint?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
To my knowledge, this can only be done at install time. So if you are ready to reinstall for this, get your flash drive ready. Disk encryption is (unsurprisingly) selected when you tell the installer about the target drive.
is it possible do this without a flash drive or something? check this out https://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/2248. im planning to format my drive using the "Disks" application preinstalled but an error pops up. I dont have a flash drive connected to my pc btw.

For everybody except a few developers deeply familiar with Linux: No, you need an install medium.
