Yep it says its all updated
Also to note is that its a fresh install
Like it instantly said its all updated on first launch which is sus to me
That's not sus. You probably just ticked the check box that does it in the installer.
Or connected to the Wi-Fi network... idk, can't rember. Smth around those lines.
Could be could be
Unfortunately, I can't provide much support for now, I'm pretty busy. Please provide the output of inxi -Fxxxz here, just in case other volunteers may stumble upon this.
I got this right now after a fresh install, too: I can boot normally, but as soon as I do the updates for the first time and reboot, it does not even show the splash screen on booting and stays black without blinking cursor. I can boot into recovery mode though
I made all the updates while intall. There were some more after first reboot. I now separated them into 2 groups "suspicious" to cause something like this and "seems fine", like Firefox. Interestingly it did not matter which update I made, I always get a black screen.
It reacts to the on/off button press though and Ctr+Alt+Del. So it does not seem to freeze completely.
Ok, it boots with "nomodeset".
So I got back to testing. Even if I update anything that has nothing to do with the system, like just Firefox, it does not boot afterwards.
