Your username is crypt already. The prompt just shows you after the @ what computer you are logged into. Since you did not specify a computer name during install, it used the default, which is username+laptop model name. You can change this somewhere, but I forgot where.

Yes, you just need to change the hostname.
hostnamectl set-hostname 'newname'
Replace newname with what you want it to be called.
