if you're going to dual boot, you need to do 3 or 4 things first:

disable Windows Fast Startup in Win 8, 10, or 11
disable Bitlocker/unencrypt drive if was bitlocker encryptd
disable Secure Boot in BIOS
disable Fast or Quick Boot in BIOS if that's a thing there.
boot the SAME way that Windows runs

to see which way Windows runs, launch it, run msinfo32 app from run box, and see what it says for BIOS Mode

delete that A: partition and leave unallocated from within Disk Management, that should help the installer later.

I would use the right hand screen, and move linpus lite to go ABOVE Windows Boot Manager

it's gonna make an ESP and call it partition 3 in that free space, then it's gonna make a linux ext4 partition in the remaining free space and call it partition 4
