#Problems with Download & Grafics Card
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
do keep in mind your card is a bit old and may not work excellently with the nonfree driver. you currently are using the free one and it should work fine. check if its loaded with lsmod | grep nouveau
yes, the card is ancient and the drivers may no longer be supported by nvidia
@kindred patrol also had issues with the card of that series. i belive they are running an older version of ubuntu 22.04/mint 21.3
the preinstalled nouveau are propably your best option
check if its running with the command i said above
i have no idea. however In terminal run wget -N -t 5 -T 10 https://github.com/jeremyb31/wireless-info/raw/master/wireless-info && chmod +x wireless-info && ./wireless-info Enter password when prompted and press y when asked if you want to upload results, then post URL from terminal
this is a script that will gather your network info
17 what
then it means its using the free driver and you dont needto do anything
dude leave me the hell alone
Have you switched the mirror region?
First thing to check when downloads are slow. You may be loading from a very distant server.
As for the graphics, never use the system murder script that nvidia calls a driver.
Do not download the Nvidia drivers directly from their website website! Installing drivers this way only works for the current kernel, and after the next kernel update, your video drivers will not work until they are manually reinstalled again. The Nvidia drivers are packaged for all popular distributions and you get them from the package manager.
Change the mirror region and you will see significant difference
