what do i do?

and a brand new nvme drive. Put new one inside computer, put old one inside adapter. Reinstall OS(s) fresh to new one. then transfer ur personal data thru usb from old.

maybe not that EXACT adapter, but one that fits ur nvme's length and pin arrangment (key type)
