Hi, my dad is using a laptop, he’s not that tech literate, but when he boots up Linux he’s getting the “BusyBox” initramfs screen. Every time I’ll have to do
(initramfs) exit
/Dev/sda2 had an unexpected inconsistency. Run fsck manually
Fsck exited with status code 4
So then I’ll run fsck /dev/sda2 -y
It’ll do it’s thing and by the time I reboot it the laptop works fine.
The problem is that, the frequency that it happens means that I have to be by him every time when he turns on the laptop. It’s an obvious inconvenience
Is there any way to ignore the BusyBox shell so that it boots up directly to the homescreen? This problem usually happens after updates, but it can occur randomly too. Is there any way to just brute-force my way into the GUI, irrespective of errors? My Dad uses Google Chrome only, so I usually only update Chrome and do security updates.
Thanks in advance
