installation of linux is finished, so i restarted the pc. prompted me to remove the installation medium and press enter; did that. now i'm on a "Perform MOK Management" screen

#

@opal siren hi, yeah now i need help

thorn agate
#

do i just select "continue boot"? i should add that i chose to wipe my disk so i'm not dual-booting with windows

opal siren
#

Thats not mint thats coming from your BIOS/mobo

thorn agate
#

so i just turn the power off?

opal siren
#

ye

#

just reboot it see if it persists

thorn agate
#

ok it persisted. it was gonna boot on its own in a few seconds if i didn't prompt it though

opal siren
#

Its linked to secure boot, you can configure it if you really want to but idk if its truly worth it. If it still persists disable secure boot in the bios else you need to mess around with with keys

#

Mk go into your bios and disable secure boot

thorn agate
#

gonna take a minute to find out how i can do that then, since pressing esc/f2/f10/f12/del during startup hasn't worked. needed to take a path through windows settings

it's an acer laptop

#

ok so i just decided to restart the laptop without going into bios first on a whim to see if anything comes up

You need to spam it on startup

thorn agate
#

no prompt to remove the medium, it just restarted perfectly normally

#

or so it seems

#

i think i might be good now? maybe there just wasn't actually a problem

#

still good for me to have made this thread though

#

Ever used it before btw?

thorn agate
#
