Description
About a day ago, right clicking on anything EXCEPT Onboard keyboard for some dumb reason (to activate uppercase letters) does nothing. It doesn't even act as a left/primary click. I've tried the trackpad, numerous mice, and nothing works.

Steps to Reproduce:
Right click? I'm not sure it seems to only be a problem for me.

Additional Information:

  • Running Thinkpad T480s

What do you recommend I do?

fading zenith
#

that's incredibly strange.

#

if u can make a second user account, (DO NOT DELETE ANY OTHER ACCOUNTS) and log in and test on new account

#

go to Settings: Users and Groups

#

add new user

#

then log out fully to then relog fully as the new user and see if mouse right-click functionality works normally

#

@fading zenith Did that, everything worked fine on the new user

fading zenith
#

so something in software, not stock to the system ruined your main user.

#

if you can figure out what it was, remove it. If not, then keep using the new account. Keep in mind don't delete the original user as it is the administrator user and you may need it to give the new user full power.

Uhhh so I tried to go back to a snapshot made before the issue started, and its still not working

#

I'm gonna try what you said and just switching users

#

How do I give it admin/sudo privlages?

fading zenith
#

user and groups

#

do it from ur og user

#

then u can open two file managers in the new acct, and copy (or cut) the contents of ur data folders over
