Hi,

I can see that my current kernel is End of Life, and that linux update manager already installed the latest kernel automatically (6.8.0-45). However, when I press on the newest kernel, as shown in picture, I cannot switch/use it. Theres only "remove" options available.

Run uname -r.

It doesn't change it?

Try booting to Grub by rebooting your device and clicking Esc after the manufacturer logo pops up and before the Mint icon is shown.

Send me a picture of your screen if you succeed in doing so.

From your screenshot it seems you already have kernel 6.8 installed, but currently using 6.5. To change it, boot your pc \ notebook holding Shift.
You should see GRUB menu, go to advanced options, and choose which kernel to boot.

Grub should remember your choice for future boots
