The likely issue is Windows not supporting the algorithm used for the hash out of the box. You need SHA256.

You need a program that can verify SHA256 checksums. The method cited here is with GNU Privacy Guard, which is not present on Windows, you would have to install it first. I know of no good way to check this with Windows default tools.

Or you can just skip testing, it is not required.

That is good. You could test the ISO there, Mint is usually equipped to test ISO checksums.
