I get the error in the picture. When i go to that directory, i do not find any file that has that filename.

what i do to get this error is do CTRL + SHIFT + P and click Reload JS and CSS. Then this error appears. Ive had no issue prior. I am not sure what i even did to do this.

I am very new to Linux and Mint and any help will be greatly appreciated.

I went to VScode site and downloaded the Deb one if I remember correctly

seems like a permission error, if you go to that dir in a terminal and print ls -l, you'll see the permissions of the folder
There seems to be a sandbox, so perhaps it is intentional?

sudo chown -R $(whoami) /usr/share/code

My other suggestion would be to try to find a better extension

some extensions on VSCode are really low quality
