#Any idea how to get Vulkan support with no dGPU?

Hi,

I am currently running LinuxMint as a VM on Proxmox VE. I do not have a dGPU that can be used to passthrough the display thus I'm currently only using the inbuilt VirtIO/VirtGL display options.

I am testing the performance of Sober for Roblox on Linux and ran into a problem where it is stated that Vulkan support is required to run it.

May I know if anyone knows if there is a way to get Vulkan support for VirtIO-pci/qxl/VirtGL kernel drivers, or it's just a pipedream?

Or if there's any other method such as Software Rendering with Vulkan support that can be used to run the program?

Thank you.

good question, I'd like to test the performance without GPU, for future possible X gamer 1 CPU type build for my family.

If it doesn't seem possible, I might just have to bite the bullet and buy more GPUs

You can just detach the iGPU and try to pass that through to the VM
