a few issues here n there. You can test it out if you have a blank USB, about 8 GB in size. Use Rufus and add some persistence space with the slider.

#

or using Universal USB Installer, same thing

Actually, Mint 22 added support for the Deb822 format, so this is not something that holds you back, but something that will be solved by upgrading. All you need to do is uninstall Wine, then upgrade, then reinstall it on Mint 22. Do make a Timeshift snapshot before all this, please.

That is what I meant, and you corrected me. Thanks.

went to the software manager uninstalled wine. And did a double check and did the purge command in the terminal but the same issue is coming up.

#

oh "detach the repos" I'll have to figure out how to do that

found a way to actually get rid of the files completely. Don't know if it was the correct way to "detach" the repos but I finally got to the nest step

Actually this just came up after completely getting rid of winehq. I don't want to screw things up. If I click "fix" it brings up software sources. I might just have to wait a while for this bug to get fixed or back up everything I'm not willing to lose on an external drive and create a ISO thumb drive of version 22 of the drive
