I am stuck as the title says in a loop between the packages xdg-desktop-portal-xapp which depends on xdg-desktop-portal (>= 1.7.1) which is not installable yet also says it depends on libspa-0.2-modules (= 1.0.5-1ubuntu1) when attempting to manually install in terminal but when i re run the mint upgrade tool after doing so it then points to a different package with an unmet dependency for that same package (libspa) version 1.0.7-3~ubuntu22.04 ??

This is sort of the same issue I'm having as well. Can't make my own forum post since it's broken on mobile for me
Having a similar package deadloop. It wants libpipewire-0.3moduals but won't allow since it wants to go to the next Ubuntu version
Stuck in the final step of updating so I can't really use my PC until it's resolved
I'm using the fastly download link if that helps with anything
nah doubt that affects anything
also ive ended up on this state as well changing the current libsa version brings it into my loop
and following a few steps on 1.0.5 brings it back there
I found where libspa-0.2 files are but I'm not allowed to delete them. Given it's listed with trying to go to conflicting version I would think thats the way to do it but since I can't there must be a config file somewhere causing the conflict but I wouldn't know where to look first
removing the package and re running the tool has no effect ive tried
this is likely related to the process in which it attempts to roll back certain packages to continue with the update
I've tested removing libspa but it removes xdg which is needed for update. However when installing the 3.0 it also wants the 2.0 for some reason
Now I'm not allowed to install 2.0 at all.
Dispite xdg recommending libpipewire3.0 it still wants libspa2.0 dispite not being able to install it
yep seems about right
Well what am I even supposed to do then. There's obviously a bad conflict/error somewhere but I have no clue how to solve it or where to look
same here thats why i made the post lol
if someone more knowledgeable wants to VC to troubleshoot im down just ping me
Obviously I can trace it to libspa2.0 mucking everything up because xdg still thinks it needs it.
I just started the upgrade tool over and now it worked fine all the way to the end. I can restart for it to take effect. I don't know what the fuck I did between that but I'll take it
nope still clueless lol
well fuck my pc rebooted and now i cant even login
