are you booting in uefi mode? efibootmgr will display unavailable or some entries

btw set grub timeout to 1, it might not work if set to 0

Hey so I think I fixed it. I guess it had to do with some lingering windows boot manager stuff. But it gets skipped now.

I ran ‘sudo rm -R /boot/efi/EFI/Microsoft’ and then did a grub update.

I wouldn't recommend removing random files from your system thru the terminal

Oh I know but this was a fresh install so I didn’t really care what happened if all else failed I was gonna go back to 21 and wait till I could update that.
