What I mean about the colors:
When I say "seemingly some other applications", I say that because I noticed similar issues on steam and krita, but specifically only for their startup (and in steam's case, shutdown) windows, with the actual applications themselves being completely fine
my current krita starting window:
Krita's opening window should look like this:
my current steam opening/shutdown window:
which should look like:
to reiterate; every single other part of steam and krita besides these specific screens look perfectly fine. (Hardware accelerated) discord is the only application where everything is majorly affected
The only thing I can think of that would have caused this is that yesteday I followed the mame compilation guide's required package installations, and did not shut down and reboot until today

using cat /var/log/dpkg.log | grep "\ install\ " to check what was installed/upgraded out of that:

still no idea what happened, but installing https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/linux-drivers.html fixed it
issue can be closed (sorry, don't remember how to do that myself)
consider calibrating your colors with an ICC profile
Can you close the issue?
