I'm looking for a way to increase the font size of linux's menus, as I plugged my desktop to my HD TV and now everything looks, well, tiny.

exact way depends on desktop

#

some you can tailor the system font (and other elements using fonts) individually, like in Cinnamon.

#

others u can put a custom DPI (dots per inch) for fonts

#

and some use the display fractional scaling method

*XFCE

#

the scaling on display isn't helping because increasing it reduces the size

Appearance item in Settings manager

#

it has Fonts tab with all kinds options

there we go

#

appereance does fixes this a bit

and you REDUCE the resolution to see stuff bigger, not increase it

but I can't reduce the resolution beyond 1x under display, adjusting font size does works and scaling under appereance does fixes a bit
