#How to boot into a usb when mint is installed

so i have linux on a macbook air 2014-2015 but for whatever reason mint has been giving me problems with the wifi card that i just cant seem to fix so i figured let me try a different distro of linux but now i cant boot off of my usb at first i didnt have a grub menu at all and now im stuck with just more mint options and no option to boot from my usb

how did you install it the first time?

typically you either a) find what the boot menu key is for your computer

or b) go into the actual BIOS setup, and change the boot order to have USB (UEFI) boot first

last time when you installed Mint, you had to have done either a) or b) above.
