Can you please provide more information about your issue?
Alternatively, you can adjust the acceleration of the cursor in the settings, if that seems to be your problem.
I unfortunately have been unable to reproduce the same instance as yours, thus my confusion.
what to provide
no i increased acceleration but its stucked/freezed the speed is ok
i have 4gb ram still its veryyy slowwww
Oh, so the cursor frequently stops or freezes?
How much swap size did you allot?
like i am downloading a torrent game around 13gb in transmission it should not be the reason i think so
idk
There might be a lot of apps that are running at the same time.
it like freezes i drag in the touchpad but its freezed
no only browser and transmission
and terminal
like its very slow
How many tabs on that browser, and what browser is it?
3 tabs and inbuilt firefox browser
You can check on System Monitor >> Resources >> Memory and Swap
its slower than windows lol i switched to linux bcz windows was slow but linux is also slow
Seems like a hardware issue to me.
Did you perform any system updates or modifications?
Is it the touchpad only or the entire device that's frozen?
i think so means the laptop keyboard is working fine when pressing alt+tab the tabs are changing
ok so swap is 1gb of 2.1gb and memory is 2.4gb of 3.9gb
Might be your touchpad then
noo bro
i today only update to mint in windows it didnt
in fedora it didnt why blaming on hardware its mint issue
I mean, looking from this, I don't understand why would it be slow. There's not a lot of processes running.
What I'm saying is that your touchpad may have had an issue just recently.
noo
its working fine rn talking from laptop only
suddenly it stops sometimes and it has happened thrice
Check on your System Reports. Maybe something is in there.
Search in your Mint Menu.
not opened yet
Are you using Mint Cinnamon by any case?
What desktop environment did you use on Fedora?
no problems were detected
And when was that?
i dont remember i installed fedora a month or two months ago
Do you happen to restrict the amount of memory that Cinnamon desktop uses?
what
It seems not.
I mean, I didn't.
It could be for all that we know. Is it done now?
i dont think so
bro @rotund quarry bcz i have done that in fedora in windows also but never lagged this muchh
Have you ever experienced this 'slowdown' before in Mint?
i choose mint bcz my friend said that mint is good for gaming
Lag is subjective, so I can't really say.
How naive of you 😭
i just installed mint and now the torrent file is also downloaded
How old are you even to believe in such nonsense?
no means he said
bcz its lighter
basically i want to play mainly games
so i need a os which is light and should run smooth
Your system should be sailing smooth now for all that I know. The memory and swap doesn't seem to indicate that things are off to something bad.
not now also sloww
I've used Mint on and off for some time now, never dealt with such things.
and if downloading file is making slower so playing games will blast my laptop
.
.
applications are taking minutes to launch
I mean bro, look. You only have 4GB of RAM, don't expect too much out of it.
Truth be told, I'm running out of ideas.
uhh
mint will not work i think
bro in 4gb we can run windows 10 with some lagg but mint is much laggg
any other os u recommend
i just want gaming
Linux Mint Xfce
will it wipe my data
Not much that I know of.
Go wherever you want, as long as it works.
