#missing battery icon on panel

go to System Settings > Applets and enable power manager
it seems like that controls the the sun icon in red there, which is just a brightness control
and if i go to power settings via the applet itself it gives me these options as well
yeah this really doesnt make sense. this menu appears to do nothing at all because those options are irrelevant for the brightness widget it's actually controlling
are you on a laptop?
yeah
model?

that is your problem. surface isn't really supported
damn
it is meant for windows only all surface products
ah well then
yea don't buy surface if you want to run linux
it was a hand me down, its not my fault 😿
hopefully this is as bad as the compatibility issues will get then
ah ok
thank you very much 🫡
i would probably move back to windows tbh cause the webcam also is known to have issues
ill probably get a new computer in a couple of months anyway
