what is your CPU and GPU? also why are you booting in compatibility?

I've tried both non compatibility and compatibility
Radeon rx580 and an AMD Ryzen, can't remember the number and I can't find the box rn

when did you build it?
if after 2020, you might want to try the edge iso from the mint website

It was a few months ago now that I built it but the boot was working earlier today with everything the same
Currently using the edge one
The only thing I did in between was wipe 2 of my storage drives to get rid of the bits and pieces of oses that weren't supposed to be there

then am not really sure. answering your previous question, you may be looking for opensuse, as it doesn't load up a live environment, only the installer
