what is Z?
so, you want to remove the grub entry from your Esp?
i want to remove the mint thingy from grub
i wanna get endeavour-
just, fully remove mint
do you have evandeoir installed already?
okay
so according to some other threads, it would be possible to remove it using windows bcdedit, but am not really faniliar with it so you'd have to wait for someone else https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/bcdedit-command-line-options?view=windows-11 or do it alone
my preferred way would be to manually remove the mint directory using the evandeourOS media, its pretty simple
"do it alone" my friends said
i amnahed to delete my nvidia drivers on fedors
imma wait-
my grammar
omg
im never typing on phone again
lol I don't think it's possible to remove kernel modules (or at least pretty difficult)
i didnt have the modules
so fedora booted in nouveau mode
if you want, I can guide you to remove it with evandeourOS installation media
i think ik why
i installed mint on an hdd, not an ssd
why cant i jsut delete the efi partition form disk management
because windows acts like the partition doesn't exist
install ebdeavr
endeavour
very well
both of you can't type
then use efibootmgr in it to clean out old entries
you ltr said evandeoir
aight i got no idea what im doing but sure 🔥
then ask for guidance. this is why you're on this thread.
huh
i went to my bios or whtever its called
fedora is still here somehow
yet its not on grub
weird, anyways
Here I have shown how to delete old or obsolete UEFI Boot entries in the BIOS that are not useful or active. The are boot entries of previously installed OSs. I have used the app called efibootmgr. It is a free command line tool to change UEFI BIOS configurations.
Also using this package you can create/add boot entries, change boot order or chan...
watch full vid to get oriented
Well, you probably didn't remove it
its not on grub
or on any partition
what it is then? hopeless slug?
to remove fedora. i went to the efi partition of windows and just removed it, no problem
alr lemme install endeavour
how's it going?
struggling with the installation-
luckily my friend came online
how's it doing
heyy
perfect timining, i just finished setitng it up, now i was gonna get efibootmgr
ahh
it doesnt let me send the image
but ubuntu (mint) and fedora are still here, yes
it also has some other entries like a usb?? somehow? or a drive
these are gone from my grub hopefully
im mostly concerned because i wanan get rEFInd
and if these appear its gonna ruin the asthetic
I wouldn't worry . don't mess with any USB or CD stuff in case you need it for emergency booting.
it wont appear in rEFIned tho right?
