I'm dualbooting Mint with Windows 10 on a small partition (60Gb) that was cut from free space from the C:\ drive, other drives (411Gb in total) are almost full, so disk space is crucial, so I choose not to use Timeshift, is this okay?

IMO backing up your home directory is more important

The system and config can always be remade, but the home dir can't

Timeshift isn't intended to backup your home directory either, and if used to do so, would hog up a lot of space

  • also make sure Windows Fast Startup is turned off so it doesn't mess with your dual-boot. (cuz it def. does)
