image is self explnatory why
you need pipewire dependencies and wireplumber
check their service status
use synaptic and look for wireplumber
also for pipewire-alsa, pipewire-pulse and pipewire-jack
is it the same in synaptic package manager ?
nice to have GUI for apt
yes but it's meant for advanced users
regular users may use software manager
cant seems find pipewire-alsa and pipewire-jack tho
just search for pipewire then show a shot
I don't see pipewire-alsa there
still, check pipewire and wireplumber services
i already check both of them and install it
Up is there any solution to this ?
Check pipewire services
You need to enable it then reboot
how do i check the pipewire service ?
@modest tundra
systemctl --user status pipewire
Do the same for wireplumber
Both are running
Now, use pavucontrol and try setting it to pro audio
You use apt, not apt-get
Iirc it should come with mint
Pro audio exposes all the audio to you
Does your audio works now?
No custom but from update manager
nope it doesnt work, i check it with speaker laptop and headset both of them arent working
Try getting a newer kernel
is there any tutorial for that ?
Sometimes you need a newer kernel to get support for your audio
Update manager > view > kernels
Latest one
Yup. You're running 5.15 which is way too old.
6.x should help
OMG Its work now
but the laptop speaker is not LOL. At least the haedphone is working rn 😄
maybe the problem is at my hardware for the audio laptop speaker
Told you
You may switch to the stereo duplex profile and test again
how do i do that ?
whichone is streo duplex i cant seems find it
many profile that unavailable. The one that available only 4 profile
It's on the tab where you selected pro audio on pavucontrol
Analog stereo input
Try with that one
Seems like it has a different name on mint
work great
still speaker not working
lemme just mark this post as solved
tysm @modest tundra
Odd. As you have a modern kernel, masked pulse, and enabled pipewire the right way. You may consider using mint 22 but a clean install later after release.
You can also boot EndeavourOS live ISO from your flash drive and test your audio as it includes more modern kernels and packages
If the audio still doesn't work then it's not a software issue but hardware issue
So do that test using a ventoy USB and report back
okay ill try that later
Do note: I don't want you to install EndeavourOS just live boot and test the audio
is it need to be endavourOS ? or i can use other os ? i had CachyOS in mind
oh okay okay
Any arch based that you can live boot for the sake of testing the audio
lemme download it first i guess
Just to compare results with your current mint installation
If the Arch based distros work ootb, then it's your mint install
If it isn't, then it's your hardware
Not working @modest tundra
