#filling up home partition causes issues with Cinnamon

Wallpaper loads, with the trash icon I put on the desktop, but wallpaper is gone few seconds afterwards.

Looks like Cinnamon won't load unless I launch it from the terminal with cinnamon, but logging with Cinnamon (Software Rendering) loads cinnamon fine. Lock screen doesn't work, the three buttons on the start menu (power, lock, log out) also don't work.

This happened after I accidentally filled up my home partition trying to install the torch library with python3.11 -m pip.

System is LMDE 6, running on kernel 6.1.0-21-amd64.

Will try

at the very least the Mozilla cache or Google folder if using chrome

#

then install Bleachbit, to give a thorough cleaning, in both regular mode, and in root mode.

Just wanna update, turns out there's a lot of stuff being broken, I wasn't able to install bleachbit deb because python was also broken, along with Nala and apt. I tried cleaning my partition manually by clearing any cache built up by Firefox and some firefox web apps containers, to no avail this was successful

#

So I swallowed the pill and restored the system by Timeshift with a 4 months old backup file.

Thank you for the suggestion though ☺️

Since I use external drives for backups its probably a good idea to set reminders weekly I suppose
