Steam Big picture is running extremely slow

Big picture is running slow for me for some reason
Its also not detecting my controller (8-bitdo ultimate controller)
Repro steps:

• open steam
• enter big picture mode
  -try using it

Expected behavior: Run at least as well as a steam deck

Actual behavior:Runs extremely slow

I do not have experience with big picture, just a reminder to let the Steam team know too, they support Linux, if you still need help.

check about enabling hardware aceleration
this problem existed with nvidia before valve patched the bug with cef 'chromium embedded framework'

steam > settings > interface | enable gpu acceleration

and ofc it runs well on steam deck because its amd and amd just werks with cef in general

turn GPU acceleration on in steam setting (i have mine turned off in this picture)
