yeah the error's right
which software did you use to flash the usb?
something is seriously wrong
the one listed in the docs
Etcher
hmm
it worked before, in the morning, I don't know why it's happening now
you could try another tool like ventoy and redownloading the iso
also make sure you have secure boot turned OFF in the bios setup
or manually dd the image (if you enjoy suffering)
I've already repeated the steps a couple of minutes ago with a new iso
it gave me the same error
Windows 10 Home
if that doesnt work you could try a different flash tool like ventoy
and worst case scenario just csm on and dont use the uefi mode, ive had this work
let me see that real quick
rufus is really good but has some issues with mint isos
I'm using that right now to make a Gentoo installer
I'm in "Security" in the BIOS screen but I can't move the thing past Set Supervisor Password
etcher is honestly pretty crap
it's stuck
I'm installing the minimal image on a USB that once held medical records

it is probably in "boot", not "security"
OHH yeah lol
secure boot is different from bios passwords
how do I go
it is some propriatary microsoft thing
oh dear
what it your machine
which kind of system do you have
to that, I'm stuck on "Boot Priority Order"
if it is a laptop which brand
Asus
which asus
Asus Spin 3
Turn on the system and press Delete to enter BIOS in Advanced Mode
Click Boot
Click Secure Boot
If the OS Type Default is Other OS, Secure Boot is off
ah alright, give me a second
it don't work
did you check out the asus support thing i sent
yeah, that doesn't work either
AHH
I JUST HAD TO SET A PASSWORD
HOW STUPID LMAOOOOO
alright I disabled secure boot, what else?
should work now
oh I also have to disable
something else
gotta turn the "Optane with RAID" to "AHCI" right?
IT WORKSSS
YESSS
are u planning to replace this?
see last post
and the first 6 minutes of the 2nd video at top
are you answering the question I made in #💬general
no but it's vry good to do those two things for proper experience
