Reboot with it, click your hard drive in the live environment's file manager, plus (optional) a drive you saved the backup snapshots too. Then run the Timeshift application there and restore to target drive.
- that's one way to do it and probably the easiest
other way is login where u are on that pic, and do some fiddling to restore/reinstall lightdm, uninstall sddm, then check if cinnamon-desktop is still present as a package, if not reinstall it too
then some magic to instate lightdm as the login manager, but i forgot the command
Hey , how can I restore Lightdm ? I have been trying for the past 3 hrs. But I am failing..
I am getting the KDE interface at the start ... I guess KDE is trying to load ..
I don't have a live usb right now.. Maybe I can try tomorrow to make one..

if u wanna fiddle around a bit, login from that black screen if u can
then apt search sddm
that'll probably show it's installed
then apt search lightdm
that'll tell u if that package is installed or not
then there's a command i saw on Distrotube regarding switching display managers in syscontrol
i'll see if i can find it
