#Keyboard detects keys as wrong keys

did u try setting the keyboard layout to what fits u?
yes i have tried lots of layouts
none of them work?
nope
huh give me a moment let me try googling for u
Is there any option in keyboard settings to reassign keys maybe?
theres shortcuts but those also think the keys are shift l
So this problem ocurred directly after installation?
I mean, you didn't change anything?
yes after install
yes there is
Are you on X or Wayland
idk
Then X probably
Run a fetch, they normally tell you
is that neofetch?
That works, so does GNOME settings
what am i looking for in neofetch
X
thanks
can you try a different keyboard?
or did you try a different linux distro while being on a live?
i can maybe try a different keyboard
try if you got a spare around
i didnt try another distro
maybe your keyboard is malfunctioning
alright
or another solution to find out if its the keyboard is to try it in a different computer
if you got one on hand at least
ive got a bluetooth keyboard will that work?
if you have a bluetooth adapter to your computer, it should
but if you don't, then it's common sense
the bluetooth keyboard works right
then try using it while you test out the redragon one on a different computer
ok
it works on a diffrent computer
maybe your usb ports are malfunctioning on Mint?
i've had some issues with Mint in the past, such as file corruptions by moving the file safely from a drive to another
and changing my clock on windows with 2 hours behind
then what do i do?
maybe try a different distro
if you like Cinnamon, try downloading separately the themes it uses
so you get the same design as the Mint one
what distro do you recomend?
my personal choice is Ubuntu because of Ubuntu Unity, but if you want to keep apt as your package manager, try debian
though, there's better DEs out there besides Cinnamon
and way customizable
I tried popos and when I was testing it on the live install the keyboard still was weird
maybe your computer is malfunctioning
But it worked when I had windows installed
then i have no idea...
it could be a kernel issue too
May take some time by eventually it would work
Thank you
The keycode is set right already but it still acts werid
Try to remap it so that it isn’t weird
I don’t know why it does that, probably just GNOME being GNOME
It doesn't work
Sorry, I only really have experience with the wayland version of GNOME
I don’t really know how to help you here
Can I switch to Wayland?
Probably would cost more of your time than just buying a new keyboard
Or you could wait a few months for the Mint team to add offical support
