i'm confused, but do you mean it loses all the data from liveISO?
whats livelSO?
basically your system after you boot it from the flash drive, where you can troubleshoot or install
i think so
then it's intended. data on the liveiso is wiped everytime you reboot
if you want to keep your data, you need to install the system 😅
LMDE? or LiveLSO?
im so confused
LMDE is an operating system
liveiso is an preinstall enviroment
so its preinstalled?
no
so i need to install that?
no
you need to install linux mint, so your system
if you just put a linux mint pendrive into your system, it'll allow you to use it, but it won't save any data. if you click the "Install Linux" icon on your desktop and install it, then you can use your system and keep your data
when you boot from the USB, you can see an icon on the desktop that says "install" linux mint. When you install it properly, the OS is installed on a hard drive, either HDD or SSD.
When you boot from a USB, the OS is loaded in RAM, and RAM is volatile, it needs power to function. So when you reboot, or shutdown, everything on RAM is lost.
oh
IM A DUMBASS

everyone was, once
ive finshed installtion and restarted as it said and it brought me back to the OS veification is off thing again
screenshot please
this is what i was trying to say
i cant
hol up
did you take out the pendrive?
whats a pendrive
flashdrive
oh! no
then you need to
okay so after its done installing i take the flash drive out
is that correct?
or you can take it out now and reboot
k
im now in the gnu grub screen
but i need the usb so i can access LMDE
what?
what does it say?
start LMDE 6 64-bit
start LMDE 6 64-bit (compatibility mode)
boost from next volume
UEFI Frimware settings
memory test
you need to take out your flash drive
for god's sake
im sorry
ok i did now what?
now turn on your PC
it already on
what happens?
im still on the GNU grub screen
was i suppose to start lmde 6?
and i apologize for confusing you
start the computer
and press arrow down, so that it doesn't automatically select anything
and then send a picture of the grub screen
select the first "start LMDE 6 64-bit"
I might be wrong, but isn't that the screen which appears when you boot from a flash drive?
yes
yes it is
Ok idk how to resolve your issue
well dang
how did u even get to this menu didnt u install mr chromebox's bios?
idk
that's just a GRUB boot menu
was it this? cd; curl -LOk mrchromebox.tech/firmware-util.sh && sudo bash firmware-util.sh
yeah but what option did you select during the install
thats the issue
you shouldve done option 2
this means you can dual boot chrome os, is that what you want to do in the first place? were you just unable to disable write protect
