If you can boot from that drive, then just swap out the W10 and Debian drives and you're good to go. It's a couple of screws and cables. 15 minutes max.

But if you have nothing of value on either drive, why not just do a fresh install on the W10 drive and save yourself the trouble?

Basically. At the 10,000 foot level, you need to format one partition for Windows, another (and a Swap) for Linux. Gparted will do the job. Then you install W10.

After that, you can copy the whole HDD to the Linux partition, but you need to make sure GRUB is installed, updated, and configured to see both OSes.

and I'm just wondering if I can delete the debian partitions on windows or if I would need to do anything before that
