#OS not displaying after boot

Same issue i posted before but a bit farther along. I set graphics settings to discrete graphics over on-board intel and get this far before blacking out
have you tried with tuxedoOS?
use ventoy for best results.
disable secure boot, fast boot, tpm and CSM
@spare forum need some help
and do you really need kubuntu?
I mean i would like to keep using it, i am most comfortable on ubuntu or debian based distros and my fave de is kde plasma
Fast boot is off, i dont have any tpm or csm options in bios, and the secure boot im using is kubuntus own encrypted boot thingie
as alternative you have kde neon, spiral linux and tuxedoOS
all debian based
Word?
Well, i would still like to boot up a few more times to retrieve data and such
Also are any of those notably more stable?
Most pf my tech is pretty outdated so i dont need cutting edge support
spiral is the closest one to debian, the other are ubuntu based
Ill look into, but as i said, i still need to boot into kubuntu, it would be kinda a waste to just wipe my pc again
you can just live boot with any distro
Oh i literally forgot you could that lmao, but anyway my goal for now is to reach my old OS
you don't need to boot on the installed OS; just live boot and backup your data smh
in extreme cases, chroot
YOU CAN DO THAT??????
😭😭😭😭😭
You can just mount it like any other drive, and them copy your files.
on july, 2008, I was already doing that with ubuntu 8.x
I seem to be very behind on the times, thank you all!!
GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS!!!!!
I FOUND THE ISSUE!!!!!!!
For some reason my default boot device was set to my wifi card
Other update: this laptop REALLY does NOT like it when i disable nvidia optimus, which i find really weird
How even?
