is there a way to speed up linux mint on my chromebook? this thing is a piece of junk and its $200 brand new. i installed mint XFCE on it. i have 32gb of space, 16 of which are taken up by mint itself i believe and idk where the other 15 went but i have one gig left. here is the output of neofetch:

i have 4gb of ram, about 50-65% of which is always being used

i think these types of questions are supposed to go onto other area. but i will answer.
if 50-65% of Ram is always being used, you should think about buying new ram sticks.

I would use Lubuntu on weak hardware like this. If you can, upgrade RAM to 8GB, and perhaps investigate if you can get a proper SSD instead of the shitty eMMC in there.

Unfortunately it is impossible to replace ram and ssd in my Chromebook
