get the fonts with apt or use my repo:
https://github.com/lunelovehearn/Core-Fonts
i have the font. it's in the fonts directory for windows in my wine folder. i just need to actually have it load
Good to see you finally with something that works
not really 😭
Yesterday i took the day off to recover .. from this
i wonder how did you get it running
Wine looks for fonts in /usr/share/fonts, /usr/share/wine/fonts, and ~/.fonts
Put the fonts in there
Also you can use winetricks to install fonts, Winetricks is a script that simplifies the process of installing various packages needed to run Windows apps
Also change font settings in winecfg
how do i install fonts to there?
oh winetricks
Extract the fonts and move them in a folder there
ex. If the font was named "Copper"
then put the fonts files in /usr/share/fonts/Copper or /usr/share/wine/fonts/Cooper or /home/.fonts/Cooper
ok im installing winetricks and uhhh it just opened some shit in german 😭
i suggest you get the latest release
Just Click This
Extract the archive and cd into the extracted folder
or right click in the extracted folder and click open in terminal
then type sudo make install
that just opens in a text editor
click the agc file
extract it
go into extracted folder
open terminal there by right click and choosing "Open in terminal"
and type sudo make install
ok download the sourse code instead
click source code
it will work
actually you install that on your mint system, not wine
in the folders i told you to install in
Linux Mint - Community
idk how to on mint, as I don't use it and neither use cinnamon
plasma offers a GUI solution to install fonts
you only click add fonts then look for the files or download more fonts
that is, under plasma. cinnamon works different
permission denied
wdym
i mean it denied my permissions
wrong folder
also read the mint forums link
it tells how to use a GUI tool
anyone of these are used to install fonts /usr/share/fonts (Requires Root), /usr/share/wine/fonts (Requires Root), and ~/.fonts
thx @atomic herald installed them now, just need to figure out how to get them to work in wine
so if you can't/don't want to use root, just put them in /home/.fonts
winetricks
winetricks gives you a GUI to select the font you want from the spported ones
it should show automatically
bro, I have MS office running under wine and it uses the fonts I have installed systemwide, not inside wine
i mean that i can't manually choose which font to load in wine, and the program loads with the wrong font
winetricks
perhaps bottles can help
NOT AGAIN. 😭
just install winetricks already
alright, i FINALLY installed winetricks... but i don't kno how to install any fonts
launch it from the start menu
soooooo working?
winetricks allfonts
yeah it even has a GUI for it
