I installed Linux mint newly but my HD became one partition is there a way to split it to 2 or 3 partitions
I'm new to Linux

use disks, it is an app. look for it in the menu

u can't do it while running

Disks is great for viewing.

to resize your large partition, and create new ones, u have to boot up with the live mode USB, then use gparted to edit the proper disk.

(FYI anything the Disks app shows with a star is used by the current operating system)
