I'm pretty sure there's no direct way to get compatibility mode on an installed system. I saw online that this might be caused by a driver being updated, so did you check the option to upgrade during installation?
I also think you could boot into the live iso, and from there install a correct driver to your hard disk system
but no idea on how to do that.
Pro Tip: If you use an Android Device, FFShare from F-droid.org can compress any media you give it.
Compatibility mode just disables graphics drivers using nomodeset=1 in the GRUB / Kernel cmdline
