@patent plaza yes
What do you know, it's even possible to run it with 4 gigs of ram on Intel Celeron
Do you think everything will run properly with just 4 gigs of ram?
I mean I have a 4gb ram laptop, I don't want anything to fail
doesn't hurt to test
if not you can just replace it with xfce or something lighter
should be generally fine
it's extremely OK
I am running on 4 gigs, works pretty smoothly, can run vsc, chrome, discord (high memory consuming apps) efficiently
Thanks for letting me know
I was kind of worried because I thought I might have to use XFC instead
Make a ventoy usb with both mint xfce and cinnamon and test out
Heya, update on this though
If Cinnamon isn't like smooth on this computer, then i'll probably use Mate if anything goes wrong
I really appreciate your guys help!
Or xfce
mhm
I'm running Mint Xfce on a 2007 Dell D830. Two cores and 4Gb RAM. It's okay for low demand uses.
just fyi, it's possible to really jazz up xfce to a whole new world of style with Twister UI, a thing you add to it later, that gives you something like 6 different looks of style. Also you can get Chicago Fire (Fier?) which gives an amazing Windows 95 classic look to xfce.
but on topic, if this person can do this:
