#A Rework of the SP5 Sword is needed

Hi, i think this SP5 need a clear rework to be more usable in PVE
Yes, i know it's a PvP SP but PvP is only a little percentage of players and i'm not telling to destroy the PvP factor of the SP rather to upgrade it

First thing, the sword has LESS resistance than Archer
SP5A has 17 Fire, 2 Water, 2 light, 4 dark (25% combined)
While the sword has 15/4/0/4 (23% combined)
that's not a lot but it feels off that a tank class has less resistances

***2nd thing are probabilities and cooldowns : ***

  • "Shield attack" vs "Shoulder attack"
    Shoulder attack : 100% "blackout" (for 5 sec) on a spell with a 13 seconds cooldown
    Shield attack : "same" spell but with a 90% chance "knockdown" (4sec) for a 50 sec cooldown

  • "Hunting Horn" vs "Finishing blow" (Weaken Defence Power)
    Finishing blow has a chance of 60% for the same debuff, for the same damage with a 20 sec cool down
    Hunting Horn has a chance of 40% to cause Weaken Defence Power with a 16 sec cooldown

  • " Iron Roll " vs "Whirlwind"
    Whirlwind has 40% chance of blackout for a 18 seconds cooldown
    Iron Roll has 15% chance of Knockdown for a 90 sec cooldown
    you can bring it to 45 sec with victory cry but still 45 sec for an AOE

I think you get it

3rd thing, only 1 AOE
Of course, it's a PVP specialist and i would agree that PVP don't need aoe
But only one impact a lot whether players play the SP or not

***4th thing, buffs and debuffs are lame ***

  • "Engorgement" vs "fury"
    It gives 10 resistance of water and light + 200 hit rate + moove speed
    and "restore 3000 hp" at lvl max (lol)
    Fury (SP1) gives 200 hit rate, 200 dodge
    it's just better dodge than elemental resistance
    We can also add that SP1 got armor boost + damage boost + fairy boost with iron skin

This buff is usefull only on 5 SP mages, 4 without holy (out of 39 SP)
and 2 types of mobs (out of 12)

  • "Lightning Surge" (bleeding)
    30% chance on a single target to bleed, every 20 seconds, even in PVP this is useless
    (200 hp every 2 sec for 10 sec = 1000hp)

  • Taunt
    it causes one target to not be able to dodge, that's it ...
    you can combine with a knockout for an additional 20% bonus damage, that's the only real thing here

Last thing : "Declaration of war" + S20
Declaration of war make the S20 make 40% more damage, that's is brutal, the S20 go up to 2520 raw damage and 1400 elemental damage
that is insanely high damage
but the problem here is the buff that the S20 gives you

If you KILL an enemy with this spell, you will get 10 sec of pure invulnerability
no debuff taken, no damage taken and you debuffs go away
the thing here is that in PVP, when you kill you opponent, you're done, the fight stops
so the buff is only made for large PVP fight (like ACT 4)

Even tho it should be broken in PVE
i really think Gameforge need to rework this SP (and other but this thread is for SP5S) to make it more usefull in PVP and PVE because SP1 is already more efficient in PVE and PVP.

Seems good.
Could add a 2nd debuff to KO to just give the ultimate extra damage instead of forcing the s20 immediatly after.
It could be a lv5 debuff with only -1 spd & increase ult damage.

Tbh this sp just needs it cooldowns looking at, it's strong single target for boss's on; with war n stone existing pve wise its not needed anyways

Totally agree, for me it needs: lower CD, some more AOE spell, better buff itself and some usefull debuff for PVE but ye, need a buff overall

I also made a post and talked a bit about the gladiator and I think it's pretty cheeky that sp 11 swordsmen attack almost as fast as a gladiator even though he has a big hammer and 130 increased on top which is simply 1 Lifestyle Book Level 3 + Fischer Book Level 1. you know what I mean? sp5 is also outdated but I would like the whole sp5 series to get an update gladiator, fire gunner and vulkano deserve it even if they are old sp they have the ability to get pretty close to the new sps, I don't demand AA AoE in the SP either, but it can take more damage and a class that in my opinion should actually get crit chance and besides, declaration of war doesn't even have a fire element damage which is just pathetic xD

the last bcard option has a totally wrong translation. "If you manage to pull back from the enemy's attack, there is a certain chance the buff will be increased." What it does is "there is 75% chance to remove effects that increase attack power" so buffs like Ignition from renegade or red meditation from monk, dont know up to which lvl tho but still how is the translation not fixed after 11 years.

And another thing is why doesn't it have fire element?

It's true that the basic attack is as fast as SP11 sword, but we shouldn't forget that the Gladiator's AA has a combo bonus.

Personally, I think she should get a real accuracy bonus, because even with buffs, we miss way too much. Her usefulness in PvP is almost non-existent, since her combo debuffs rarely land.

As for PvE, I think the lightning skill should also be AoE to debuff an entire aggro group rather than just one monster (like SP10 sword debuff that only targets a single mob).

I understand your point but conceptually the stonebreaker should still attack slower. It's not fair. AoE AA and at the same time it should be fast. And I think the lightning skill is good but how do you imagine it? Your level 20 does 40% more damage when the debuff comes but for which monster? The level 20 hardly has any AoE to make sense of it. Plus the debuff only lasts 4 seconds. The cooldown is too long and it's a level 4 debuff. I hope you understand what I mean right? I think it's a good idea, especially the fact that this skill doesn't even have an element, it's bottomless.
