1 - That's not a suggestion
2 - Yes it does, normal amulet doesn't work in act 5 and the amulet you are showing is pretty useful when you don't want to wast time walking back from draco 🙂
What he probably means by asking why it needs to exist is why doesn't normal amulet work in act 5.
Normal amulets work fine in the later acts with the same system of "point of return is limited to the act", preventing you from going back to moritius from act 1 for example. So why should we need to buy our amulet 30k EACH in act 5 only ?
To elaborate Mehmas's suggestion (which is poorly presented, i can accept) :
Can we have the normal amulet working in act 5 too ? Just like it does in act 6, 7, 8, etc. It feels unfair to be "punished" by this pricing only when you have something to do in act 5, and it can prevent players from being motivated to do act 5 related activities.
i like the fact that normal amulet doesn't work on a5. It makes it more like a different place than nosville (same with a4 - you cant tp between a4 and the rest). It would be QoL change, but would destroy the (almost non-existant) "immersion"
But if you want to change it, then you would make the infinity amulet (dont know how its called; out of fafnir) worthless.
Items like this are considered gold sink.
"Gold sinks serve to decrease the total amount of gold players have, since without sinks, there will be inflation."
Yes but there is already insane inflation thanks to no cap limit on alt accounts x)
True, but removing or lowering items like this just make it worse
The proportions are so unbalanced tho, we spend so little gold on the desert amulet, everyone just avoids it unless necessary (like putting up a return point if u exp in 5.2). It's so badly avoided that I'm pretty sure your gold sink mechanic would work better without the desert amulet, and just let player use the regular one : we would use it so much more (lazy returns to cities from draco; setting up return point wherever you want cause its not 30k to change it every time; etc)
30k ain't gonna change the life of people with billions, but it does change it for newbies who are trying to quest there for the first time, since they are the ones who would use it more frequently since you have to go in a bunch of different places
i know. the guy asked why its 30k. i gave him an explanation. im not against it 😄
In my opinion, they might have to be accessable for 1k per item.
But also change the fafnir item (still to lazy to google the name) to amulett of return.
Then this item would make way more sense to the player and a5 would be cheaper.
u can do fafnir raids too, u don't need to be c90 😄
