Imagine a real war between two families, not a simple pvp in arena but a total war with a reward.

First of all how would it work? To make it simple, the head of a family must send a request that would be equivalent to a declaration of war to the family concerned. If the family accepts, then the type of war in which you want to fight begins.

A type of war? I count 2 at the moment but it can be more in the future.

The military war which would be equivalent to a big confrontation in which it will be necessary to exterminate all the members to win. However you would say to me (it is only pvp as we see it every day). I'll stop you right now because there is a stake in the key and therefore we must think about how to approach this confrontation.
-Then the second war is the economic war which is based on the sale of each of the members (obviously the repurchase of an object by another member is not counted).it will have a definite time in which we will judge the profit of the 2 families.
- Now let's talk about the rewards (you were expecting it, right?). They will be decided at the beginning of the war declaration, and in the military war you will have the choice between 2 possibilities (the absorption of the losing family or the gain of a valuable item belonging to the losing family which will be put into play). For the merchant war you have only one possible outcome (for now) the gain of a part of the profits from the sales during the battle.
To conclude I thought about this in order to give a more important meaning to the families in the game because they are too much abandoned during pvp or events. Of course I simplified this project because already this would be I suspect quite complex to implement so I share a bit of fantasy to see if this idea would suit the universe and this game we love.
