3 trappers at the original hut near the entrance are just standing around, not setting traps. Hut has 18 meat, no hides, and does not say storage is full.

Are there animal burrows at the nearby trees? Sometimes you use them all up before new ones can spawn. They do take a bit to respawn.

Same here, they do just nothing after a few days.

are there rabbits close by to trap?
for example, here I have 3 trappers that aren't working because they've already trapped all the rabbits that were around the trees, and new rabbits haven't spawned yet

That’s probably it. The trees are sparse in this level so rabbits are sparse too. I didn’t realize they take more than one day to spawn.

it's around once every 8 days (per tree)
Is the spawn rate affected by sticks dropping? ie is it one or the other and therefore sticks could block burrows?
