i’ve always thought that when the white lady went into her final place in the gardens, she grew wild and huge somewhat uncontrollably from what i assume could be grief from her children. i always though she wasted away in a sense, growing huge, blind, and binding herself, fully locking herself away from the world in her grief

I like the theory that the White Lady can change her size at will, and grew large then wrapped herself in magical bindings to "hide her power" or seal it away. We know she hid herself out of shame of the vessel's creation, so it makes sense.

this isn't canon, but concept art of her shows her in a much smaller form. It seems to me that her form we see in game is what she looks like after taking root somewhere and is left to grow for ages
