When you replaced the value for sin 135 degrees, instead of dividing it by 4 you brought it to the numerator
$\sin \theta = \frac{\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}}{4}$
this turns to $\sin \theta = \frac{\sqrt{2}}{8}
$\sin \theta = \frac{\sqrt{2}}{8}$
what
i dont understand
i thought i did it right
@steel zealot
this turns into 4 root2 over 2
as u times the whoel fraction by 4/4
So basically root 2/2 is divided by 4/1 so it turns as root 2 /2 multiplied by 1/4
Well the denominator is considered as 4/1 just for ease of understanding
huh
i dont understand
like i get that u can flip the 4/1 and times it and that u get root2/8
but i dont get why what i did was wrong as well
because if u times the numerator and demoniator by 4 then its overal timesing by 1 so its fine
so why would it bwe wrong
thats the way i was taught to do it
@reef ivy
Well in fractions when u divide a fraction by another one the denominator fraction is reversed and multiplied to the numerator
yes ik
ik this part
but i dont understand why my method wwouldnt also work
So u can consider 4 as 4/1 so get flipped and multiplied
All u did was correct just end calculation in fraction u went wrong
this is corerct?
Yes exactly treat the root 2 / 2 as numerator and 4 as denominator so multiply 4 in numerator and 4 in denominator
I think u got confused in that it's root 2 / 2 getting divided by 4
Not root 2 by 2/4
oh do u need brackets here?
Yes
Well not exactly wrong it's used for ease of understanding and lesser confusion
To avoid division error which u did just now
the true answer is root 2 over 8
how is 2 x 4 equaling 16
yea
so it should be 4 root 2 / 2
the donminator is 1 if its an integer of 4
wiat no i think i get it all now
u meant the other demointaror
hold on lemme show my workings
No u had 4/1 in denominator so it gets flipped and multiplied in numerator
yea i got it right look
So in this just flip 4/1 to 1/4 and there's ur answer
