@raw birch draw a diagram of it, then find the length and width of the table top

raw birch
#

Guyz what do you mean by draw a diagram

#

I mean that's the main thing

#

Ahh I'm not not getting the how to draw the diagram otherwise solving this question is not that too tough

#

Didn't it?

#

@balmy bronze

dapper socket

@raw birch draw the table with dimension x × y, and then the table top of dimension 5×3 as if it laid flat over it

dapper socket
#

@fringe ember you're not supposed to answer in their place

fringe ember
#

You could draw two rectangles on representing the table cover and one representing the table top

dapper socket
#

they can indeed solve it from the drawing, which is a good method

fringe ember
#

Compare and contrast the difference in dimension

#

And think about it

#

What does it mean if 25cm is hanging from each side in terms of the dimension

raw birch
#

I didn't got the answer yet

#

I have exams day after Tommorow pls help me

#

Can't you just clarify what does the question saying or give me hint to solve this @dapper socket

#

Can't we normally say that if 25cm is hanging from all over then length of table is 5-0.5 and breadth is 3-0.5? @raw birch

you should uh, not ask the here to cheat (unless I'm getting smth wrong)

#

but anyway, just imagine 4 squares in the corners or our rectangle with length 25cm, and then 4 rectangles which sides are, for each two:
(500(cm) - 25*2) * 25, since we take the length of one of those squares and the length of the edge minus the square space (trust me this makes sense)

#

bla bla bla funny calculations and youuu reach this

#

the first one is rectangle A, which is found twice on the 5m side, then rectangle B x2 on 3m side

#

then the sum of 4 squares is .25m anddd you get the idea
