Hey @solemn prairie, Thanks for sharing your math problem with us. While you wait for a Helper to help you, we want to share some vital information with you.

For whenever u respond to this pls ping me
All you have to do is take a quick look at the x-axis (your input values for x in the equation), plug in five x-values within that domain, and then plot that x and y coordinate
How ๐ญ
Make a table
Lemme show you
Here's an example
This is a linear equation tho
Do it similarly for your eqn
@solemn prairie
How do u get the x and ys
Js put random values in x and find the value of y or vice versa
Then put the respective x and y values in a table like that
How do you get the x intercepts ๐ญ
What
Here if i take x=0
The value of y will be -5
Ok but how did they get those values
We randomize tho
We did it
We take an arbitrary value
Ok
Don't take a big number
Since it would result in a hectic calculation
@solemn prairie
Like this see
For example here (x,y)=(3,8)
Hence we plot that point
Where x is the value of x taken
And y is value of y found
๐ญ
@solemn prairie
You just found out the value of x
So
When y=0
X=-4.75
So plot the point (-4.75,0)
@solemn prairie
Ok
Yes you could solve either y or x
I found solving y easier hence I reccomended that
@solemn prairie
Dam u pinging me over every sentence lol
"For whenever u respond to this pls ping me"
You typed this so I made it sure ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
Ok ๐ญ
Yea, adjust and find appropriate values
Exactly
Adjust the values
Wdym adjust
Just plug in numbers like -2, 0, 4, 6
Into the equation?
So how did u know which values to plug in
Whats arbitrary
-
because it's asking for integer (whole number) values.
-
it says they must be on the domain given on that x-axis. It must be within that domain
So any number just plug it in for x
X=2
Y=-2*3 +3
Y=-3
No just any number
Check that x+7 should be a perfect square
Like 2
2+7=9
So i need to pick number that would make it into a perfect square?
Yes
That would result in an integer value
And then i would solve for y
Yes
Then plot the values in the form (x,y)
