This isnt my homework, i found it on another study discord server and have been pondering abt it ever since, and maybe im just dumb but all the resolutions i came up with had limitations/were wrong
"Translation": imagine a 199 x 991 rectangle made up of tiny squares (so, 1 unit = 1 square? I think you get it), then trace a diagonal, how many tiny squares would be crosses by the diagonal line?
I tried to build a logic but that didnt work, am i missing something?
Also marking the post as other since i dont know which specific tag this fits in

Some stuff that i have found out while trying to solve this
199 and 991 are both prime numbers
They are also both odd
On rectangles with same measuresements for all the sides (squares 😭) the numerical value of squares the diagonal emcompasses is the same as the width and length (Ex.1) (unfortunately that is far from the case here ugh)
