Is anyone here ridiculously good at vectors?

My teacher is taking weird turns to draw and calculate vectors, and is placing them in the weirdest place ever, creating new points for no reason, i need to hop on vc with someone to understand whatever is going on cause a forum wont help atp

I have a test tomorrow and im definetely gonna fail🫠

Hey

#

Im too desperate to mind the ragebaiting account I can't lie

#

Whatever!
We were told to draw a triangle, called ABC.
Then, told again to place a point called P to have a vectors called CP

#

CP vector=CA vector+5/2 × BC vector

#

The values and lengths dont matter, what I care about is why did the teacher add a "representant of 5/2BC", and started to add random points, changing with the calculations

#

Im so sorry its in French lol

🫶🏼🫶🏼

#

If u need additional details pls do say cause im so over it

cinder birch
#

Which ones?

stoic lark
cinder birch
#

Its in French, want me to translate?

stoic lark
cinder birch
#

ABC is a triangle, AB=6, BC=5 and AC=3. We consider the points M, N and P defined by:
AM=½AB + AC ; BN=3/2BC and CP=CA+5/2BC

#

There's vectors everywhere in the equations

#

They want us to draw a figure, the figure i sent in the picture above is the teacher's

cinder birch
# cinder birch

Again, here is the figure. Whyd the teacher add a random point called "S"

#

Calling it a representant

cinder birch
#

The teacher says so, but how is it helping?

stoic lark
cinder birch
#

The question or the figure?

stoic lark
#

the whole thing

cinder birch
#

The next question was
What conjecture can we understand from the points M, N and P

stoic lark
#

tell me if im wrong, they gave u some vector ewuation and wnat u to draw it

cinder birch
#

The answer was that they're all on a single line

#

What the fuck does s do here

cinder birch
#

They want me to draw 3 different vectors

stoic lark
#

are they free vectors

cinder birch
#

Yes

#

We only have the direction and the starting point

stoic lark
#

did the mention that u have to draw it the way ur teacher did

#

they*

cinder birch
#

No

#

He added a representant by himself

stoic lark
#

is representant a translation of smth u use in french math

cinder birch
#

Oh

#

I meant representative

#

S represents 5/2BC

#

Why do we even need to represent that

stoic lark
#

because weiting 5/2 BC too much work

#

wriring

#

writing

#

so we write S vector

#

i think ur confused in position vectors
