like the -8x should be in the denominator and the integration is incorrect
My working
Is your answer -(1 - 4x^2)/6 (with a missing +C)?
yes
Ok, then here's a question:
Can the derivative of a rational function (which is what you got) be irrational (like the function you're integrating)?
As in, if you just have a function that's a ratio of polynomials and differentiate it, can square roots appear?
no
Right. That's a quick way you can notice that your answer is incorrect.
do you mean differentiate or integrate?
Well, you can check your result by differentiating it, after all.
where is my error?
oh fairs
Now, next: how did you go from the second line to the third?
I agree with the constant, but not with the power of u.
oh it should be u^-1/2 hehe
Right.
my bad
So, try it again from this point.
yep got the ans now
Nice!
